About the Position

Uppsala Vatten och Avfall AB is responsible for managing household waste in Uppsala municipality. We are now looking for a summer substitute for the Biogas section, which produces biogas from food waste and supplies fuel to a large part of the city buses.

The work period is according to agreement but preferably weeks 24-34. The first weeks will be for training to take on greater responsibility later in the summer. There is an opportunity for time off for a week during the summer.

Working hours are from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, but every fourth week you will work from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Your tasks will include:

• Assisting with various tasks in our operations, such as control room work as a process operator
• Cleaning indoors and outdoors
• Basic maintenance work including clearing pumps and machines

Qualifications

• A valid B driver's license is required
• Technical education or interest

Meritorious

• Experience in mechanical maintenance
• Forklift and loader licenses

Additional Information

A large part of our operations is classified as critical infrastructure as we supply drinking water to Sweden's fourth largest city. A security check with a background check will be conducted prior to employment for this position.
